General Contractor news (commercial):
We have begun the construction of the Grand Prairie Starbuck’s Plaza retail center. We are constructing a retail strip shopping center containing four retail stores. Each store has approximately 1,200 to 1,400 square feet of lease space. The shopping center is located at the northwest corner of State Highway 360 and Mayfield Road at 2989 S. Highway 360 in Grand Prairie, Texas. It is adjacent to an existing Starbuck’s coffee shop. We anticipate to have the foundation of the building poured by mid February of 2007.

Design news (commercial):
We have started the design for The Shops at Airport Center, a two-story retail/office building in Irving, Texas. We are designing the building to contain approximately 16,000 square feet of rentable space. The project is located on an one acre tract of land off the north service road of Airport Freeway (S.H. 183) neighboring the Westway Ford car dealership. Its physical address is 609 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas, 75062. We intend to design office spaces for the second floor and retail spaces for the first floor. We plan on employing either tilt-up concrete walls or improved concrete form (ICF) walls in the design of the project.

Design and Construction Management Consulting news (commercial):
The Britain Business Addition project was completed this month. This project consisted of the demolition of an existing warehouse and the redesign/rehabilitation of the site as a remodeled Office/Warehouse complex. We served as the designers as well as the construction management consultant for the owner of the project. Britain Business Addition is located at 1910 N. Britain Road in Irving, Texas, close to Airport Freeway (S.H. 183). It is neighboring the newly built regional outreach hospital of Parkland (Dallas County) Hospital. Britain Business Addition offers approximately 53,000 square feet of rentable space consisting of more than 40 various offices/warehouses with overhead garage doors. The various offices/warehouses can be combined or leased separately depending on a client’s preference.
